Veterinary Support Specialist – Megan Heffernan

Megan was raised with a plethora of animals including dogs, cats, birds, and horses. Her
grandparents owned a successful breeding and training facility for Arabian and Half-Arabian horses. Her mother is a nationally decorated trainer who also adjudicates national and international Equestrian events. Megan also competed from a young age, earning regional and national titles in both the US and Canada. Megan, from an early age, fell in love with the Arabian breed’s emotional intelligence and sensitivity, beauty, athletic ability, sense of humor, and strong bonds with their families and trainers.

Her passion became a successful career developing programs to share that education with others to help pets live long, happy, healthy lives.

In her free time, Megan enjoys hiking, reading, “sporting” with her significant other, and
being a personal butler to their small zoo: An Eclectus Parrot, Bearded Dragon, 3 cats, and a 1-year-old AmStaff.
